R&D Manager In a few words I fancy myself an 'industrial scientist', fascinated by how things work and how that may be turned into something useful, easy to manufacture and marketable. I find myself more efficient as an 'expert' in a project team where I bring innovative solutions to develop new functions or function combinations in a product. Project management : dimensioning, monitoring, reporting. Colloid and polymer solution physical chemistry. General physical chemistry (interfaces, surfactants, wetting, foam generation/destruction). Concentrated suspension physical chemistry and rheology. Mineral binders (Portland and blended cements, calcium sulfates, calcium aluminates). Scientific publications : papers, conferences.

Management of an R&D team supporting the development of innovative products on the basis of physical chemistry studies.
Management of a 2 pers. team. Support team aiming at better understanding the interactions between chemical admixtures and cement, especially for the properties of concrete workability/flowability : - Polymer adsorption related to structure - Rheology of cement pastes - Cement hydration kinetics and control through chemical interaction - Interfacial phenomena (wetting, foaming, defoaming) by interfacial tension studies in static and dynamic conditions Support team working as a supplier of innovative solutions for the other components of the R&D department : - Management of transversal reporting - Priority ranking and planning according to the main project plannings
