PARVEEN KAUR is recent graduate in Political Science with minors in Chinese Language Studies and Global Asian Studies from DePaul University. Her academic portfolio includes certifications in Translation Studies and Global Fluency, complementing her aspirations for law school where she hopes to deepen her understanding of internationalism. She approaches advocacy through a deeply pluralistic lens, focusing on youth mobilization, dissent, and expression within South, Central, and East Asia and the diaspora. Through her roles in government and civic society, Parveen has championed youth voices and student expression across globally active organizations including the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations and the Kalaam Project. She has also spent time with national-level organizations such as Interfaith America, the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, and the White House Initiative for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Most recently, as Chair of the Sikh American National Youth Council and Vice President of Dear Asian Youth, she fosters inter-tradition dialogue and youth-led, principled coalitions responding to contexts where communities face organized violence.
