I am currently working as Research and Innovation Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU. I have graduated with a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. As a PhD researcher at the Wellcome/ CRUK Gurdon Institute, I conducted cutting-edge research on the mechanisms underlying filopodia formation, funded by AstraZeneca. I have a strong background in biochemistry, cell biology, and pharmaceuticals, with an MSc in Biomedical Sciences and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Cyprus and multiple awards for academic excellence. I have also completed the Enterprise TECH PhD+ program at Cambridge Judge Business School, where I learned how to translate scientific discoveries into commercial applications. I have over 8 years of experience as a researcher, working on various projects related to developmental, cancer, and stem cell biology, at the University of Cyprus and the University of Cambridge. I have developed skills in cellular biology, microscopy, bioinformatics, and data analysis, as well as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. I am passionate about developing novel technologies, while taking data-driven decisions.

Part time job at a Drosophila laboratory as fly stock maintainer.
