I joined the accounting faculty at Wayne State University in midtown Detroit in the fall of 2010 where I teach accounting information sytems (AIS) and do research on ERP systems, accounting information systems use, and IS audit.
Pam J. Schmidt is a PHD graduate in information systems with a concentration in accounting. Her dissertation research addresses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems knowledge and change management at the individual level of analysis. Her nine years of university teaching experience covers accounting and IS courses, MBA and MIS graduate courses, online courses, and student-industry consulting projects. She has over fifteen years of industry experience in business management, new product development and software development projects. For two years she was the associate director of the Walton College of Business’s Information Technology Research Institute which links research to industry practice.
Served two years as Associate Director of the Information Systems Research Center as liaison with industry IS leaders. Served five years as an Executive in Residence instructor in the graduate Masters of Information Systems program, and in undergraduate programs, teaching courses in the Information Systems and Accounting departments - including telecommunications and data networking, systems analysis and design, capstone IS project, accounting information systems and accounting views.
