Lead a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for the design and delivery of talent management programs and initiatives including; annual performance management cycle, employee and leader development programs, succession planning, competency management and the enterprise wide organizational health (engagement) survey
• Provided strategic HR support to EVP, Corporate Services and associated functional leads • Served as an active member on various functional leadership teams (ITLT, HRLT, and Corporate Services LT) and contributed to strategic business decisions. • Direct management and development of one HR advisor, and provided indirect mentoring and development of multiple HR coordinators and advisors in other departments of Corporate Services. • HR lead on the IT Service Improvement Project involving the creation of a new IT organizational model and the subsequent insourcing of Talisman’s IT operations. • HR Lead for the Human Resources function within Corporate Services. Provided input, feedback and guidance on internal HR issues and challenges to Corporate Services leadership as the representative of the function.
• Partnered with ENMAX Energy leaders to proactively identify HR involvement to assist clients in meeting business unit and corporate objectives. • Worked as a partner with business unit leaders to support strategic workforce and succession planning initiatives ensuring people strategies are aligned with business objectives. • Collaborated with HR Centers of Excellence regarding the planning and implementation of major initiatives including reorganizations, annual compensation and incentive planning, training and employee relations. • Coached and influenced leaders and employees on HR issues such as performance management, collective agreement interpretation and administration, job classifications and salary administration. • Provided effective, end-to-end recruitment services for both management professional and unionized positions. • Coached hiring managers in their ability to attract, interview and select preferred candidates. • Collaborated with team members to successfully recruit approximately 150 Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s) in a four month time period while maintaining a high regard to quality. • Provided HR support and guidance to successfully transition approximately 250 employees back to ENMAX as part of the repatriation of our Customer Care and Billing Operations.
• Collaborated with HR Business Partners to provide customized on-boarding, recruitment, and retention strategies to over 9000 employees. • Contributed as a project team member in the vendor selection, development and launch of a company wide online applicant tracking system. • Assisted in the development, implementation and roll out of an employee referral program, and National employment branding campaign. • Created and launched a Recruitment Toolkit including, interviewing guide template, customized interview questions, background checks, and on boarding DVD. • Provided recruitment support to business leaders by creating customized job descriptions, job postings, interviewed candidates, administered Caliper pre-employment assessments and offer letters. • Prepared confidential material and coaching support on employee related issues such as; performance management, terminations, compensation, severances, and acquisitions. • Managed various Human Resources programs including, employee recognition, relocations, recruitment, employment equity, and Hewitt Employment Engagement Survey. • Trained employees on HR initiatives including Share Purchase Plan, Stock Option Program and Online Recruitment Tracking System. • Organized and attended career fairs to promote Shaw as an employer of choice to potential candidates.
