About

AI Governance & Model Risk | PhD Researcher I operate at the intersection of technical AI research and institutional risk management. My work is focused on the strategic oversight of machine learning, ensuring that as models become more complex, they remain transparent, compliant, and architected for long-term stability. At WiZink, I focus on AI Governance and Model Risk, specifically supervising the transition from traditional credit scoring to modern, AI-driven methodologies. This involves managing the validation and risk lifecycle of models to ensure they remain robust under IFRS 9, ICAAP, and the emerging EU AI Act. I lead the implementation of the governance frameworks required to deploy these advanced models responsibly in a highly regulated environment. My corporate role is fundamentally linked to my PhD research at the University of Southampton. By developing algorithms for Fairness and Robust Optimization specifically for credit scoring, I bring a level of technical depth to the supervision process that allows for a more rigorous challenge of the systems I oversee. I don't just look at the output; I analyze the underlying mechanics and the systemic implications of the algorithms. Core Areas of Focus: • Strategic Supervision: Managing the risk of enterprise-grade AI, ensuring that innovation is balanced with rigorous oversight and institutional safety. • Credit Scoring & ML: Overseeing the technical and regulatory integrity of scoring models, bridging the gap between legacy frameworks and advanced machine learning. • Systems Thinking: Utilizing a background in Economics (BSc) and Intelligent and Adaptive Systems (MSc) to view AI through the lens of complex systems—ensuring that models align with both economic reality and ethical standards. My goal is to ensure that AI serves as a stable and trusted pillar of the financial sector, backed by a clear strategic vision and a commitment to responsible deployment
