My broad experience in the world of Big Data and AI has given me the opportunity to grow as a cross profile, with experience in the three steps that a solution describes from a technical point of view: the design (Architecture), the implementation (Development) and the commercial explotation & maintenance (Operations). As a proactive individual and a indefatigable learner, I find myself as my best version when I apply what I learn to provide solutions for business needs.
In my role as Architecture Lead within the Data & AI capability of TS&A in Spain, I spearhead initiatives related to data architecture, artificial intelligence, generative AI and agentic. These initiatives typically involve the definition and execution of comprehensive strategic data plans, encompassing transformational (identifying, prioritizing, landing, and building use cases), foundational (designing and deploying new architectures or evolving current capabilities), and change management (upskilling, re-skilling, and communication plan) dimensions. As part of my responsibilities, I also assume leadership in delivering the most technically complex or strategic projects, with a particular focus on generative AI projects, often embedded in the banking and resources industries. Additionally, I lead the Generative AI COE for one of our most prominent IBEX35 clients. I am also a recognized SME within EMEA and a regular trainer and speaker.
I coordinate the Solutions Architecting team in the AWS Business Group, an area where we carry out technology consulting projects and respond to various customer requests. This includes proposals for on-premise to cloud migrations, high-level and low-level architecture designs, cloud strategy development, and solution design. Among my main responsibilities are team management, support in designing the most complex architectures, assistance in conducting as-is assessments, reporting to senior management and the partner leading AABG, and resource pyramid development. I also combine this role with that of SME in Data & Analytics within AABG and as the Machine Learning Domain Lead, providing occasional support to projects and training teams.
During this period, my main responsibility is to be the AWS Architect for the design and delivery of a cloud-native, serverless solution for calculating electricity, gas, and photovoltaic billing based on measurements taken at supply points, followed by sending it to the customer. Among my main responsibilities are team management for Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security, designing the architecture for product enhancements, and ensuring best practices. I also serve as a Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the project. I balance these activities with other responsibilities, including leading the Machine Learning Domain and assisting in the development of RFPs within AABG.
I support Big Data and Data Science squads as a nexus between Infrastructure and Development departments, My main responsibilities include architecture design support and "development-to-infrastructure translation". Additionally, I prepare squads to productivize their software succesfully. Main technologies: Cloudera, AWS. Main methodologies: Scrum, Kanban.
I coordinate different projects, designing solutions and managing big teams up to 8-10 people in Agile and Waterfall modalities, for very demanding regulatory banking projects (Openbank & Santander), focusing mainly in finance and risk analysis using AWS and Cloudera. Main on premise technologies (Cloudera): Hive, Impala, Spark, HDFS. Main cloud technologies (AWS): Lambda, Glue, EMR, EC2, Athena y S3. Main methodologies: Waterfall, Scrum.
I carry out a variety of management tasks as an IT Project Manager coordinating Database and Infrastructure teams in a wide spectrum of areas, which comprises Security, Accounting, RGPD, Informational Systems, Business Development Software, Hardware migrations, etc. controlling the scope, schedule, cost, risk and the resources of each project. I also checked different architectures from the point of view of the Infraestructure department to safeguard the stability of the Production and helped in the design of some disaster recovery plans
