Designed photovoltaic systems up to 40 kW to meet customer specifications, national codes, and requirements of local jurisdictions across 6 states and numerous local jurisdictions within each state. Created site models, designed array layouts in accordance with IBC and IFC requirements, created production models, sized electrical equipment and designed electrical interconnection in compliance with NEC requirements, and evaluated roof quality. Performed quality assurance reviews for junior designers to ensure design compliance.
Managed the quality assurance department through an audit to ISO 17025:2017 with zero major discrepancies and zero minor discrepancies. As a result of the successful audit, the laboratory was ISO-accredited for 15 new microbiological test methods and 4 new chemistry test methods. Wrote policies, monitored laboratory activities, and ensured metrological traceability of all laboratory results. Prescribed and administered proficiency testing regimens to qualify laboratory personnel for new test methods. Investigated out-of-specification laboratory results to determine root causes of variance. Conducted failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and prescribed corrective actions.
Optimized manufacturing parameters based on feedback from quality testing results. Utilized statistical process controls to interpret quality testing results and guide manufacturing inputs.
