As the General Manager of Körfez Ulaştırma, I am excited to lead a team dedicated to excellence in rail freight transportation. With over 16 years of experience at Tüpras, I bring a wealth of knowledge in engineering, maintenance, and contract management, along with a passion for innovation and sustainability. In my previous role as Executive Director of Engineering and Maintenance at Tüpras, I oversaw the maintenance activities of an oil refinery with a Nelson Complexity Index score of 14.5 and a production capacity of 13.1 MMB/Year. Leading a team of over 1500 professionals, I ensured the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery, managed turnaround tasks, and implemented best practices to improve maintenance efficiency. My journey at Tüpras also included roles such as Director of Category and Contracts Management, where I led a team responsible for managing all third-party spends, and Manager of Contract Management, where I developed and implemented contract strategies for capital programs and projects. As Lead Engineer of Reliability and Inspection, I managed inspection issues for pipelines, pressure vessels, and storage tanks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. A member of the top management team, responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance activities of oil refinery with Nelson Complexity Index score of 14,5 and production capacity of 13,1 MMB/Year. This position leads a team of over 1500 people including senior managers, managers, superintendents, technicians and contractors ensuring that equipment and machinery are properly maintained to ensure safe and efficient operations, as well as overseeing turnaround management tasks. - Lead a large team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and managers, assigning tasks and providing guidance as needed - Oversee and manage all aspects of turnaround planning and execution, including budget, schedule, scope, and resource allocation - Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and repaired - Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues, taking corrective action as needed to avoid downtime and ensure safe and efficient operations - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures - Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules - Manage maintenance budgets and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing best practices to improve maintenance efficiency - Develop and maintain relationships with equipment vendors and service providers to ensure access to necessary parts and services - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses, preparing regular reports for senior management as needed - Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all maintenance personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform their duties - Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance organization, implementing new technologies and best practices as appropriate
• Leading and supervising Contract Management Team of Tüpraş responsible for managing all 3rd party spends (except hydrocarbons). • Providing expertise in strategies, tactics and deal leadership for teams involved in tendering, negotiation and at the award stage of contracts. • Involving in contract negotiations. • Ensuring that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness. • Serving as the point of contact on contractual matters for major contracts. • Supervising contractor claim and dispute management activities. • Reviewing, negotiating, preparing and revising standard contract terms and conditions. • Developing contract management system including control mechanism for monitoring of implementation as well as for troubleshooting contractual obligations.
