Goal: Career Development Program, self-sponsored, implemented to expand on 27 years fluid handling experience including 13 years API610/ISO13709 and ISO5199 customised centrifugal pump design, application, testing and commissioning with extensive CAD/FEA/CFD experience and team management/leadership knowledge. Reporting to the Managing Director, Member of the Senior Management Team The Design Manager role: The senior position for technical/technology issues in the business. Oversight of all the day to day team management issues, prioritising, targets, plan workloads, appraisals and ensure corporate objectives are achieved with KPI’s. Close coordination with the Senior Management Team. Coordination of companywide training. Chief Design Engineer role: CAD Design and FEA/CFD Analysis of Hydrodynamic Components; New designs and continuous improvement of existing products. Ultimate responsibility to ensure all pumps perform to the contract specifications including BS/EN/API/ISO/ANSI/DIN/GOSK/NORSOK/DEP etc. Close liaison with the Test Manager and Engineers, ensure pumps perform on test, resolve any technical hydrodynamic or mechanical issues to ensure on time delivery to the customer, usually with very short timelines and Liquidated Damage contractual constraints.
