In this Mitacs Accelerate Internship, I supported Coastal First Nations in collaboration with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, leading interviews with key actors and conducting background research to understand case studies of building consensus through collaborative governance agreements.
As member of the Policy Analysis and Treaty Support team of the Negotiations and Implementation Division, I conducted research and analysis of cross-cutting policy issues to support treaty and reconciliation agreement negotiations
Supported public engagement and knowledge mobilization efforts (e.g., Canadian Institute of Planners 2024 Conference). Conducted research, interviewing over 30 landowners on Lasqueti Island, to understand their perceptions of Indigenous archaeological heritage sites on their property.
Worked with MP Mike Morrice's office - conducted research, corresponded with parliamentarians, organizations, and constituents, to inform policy priorities and legislative work.
