I currently work in the finance governance and corporate services department at Transport for Wales, specialising in business planning, investment governance, and data-driven decision making. I support the delivery of strategic business plans by working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, coordinating key activities, and developing structured approaches to track performance and progress. My role also involves maintaining governance frameworks for investment activity, supporting financial monitoring and benefits tracking, and helping ensure that business cases and strategic initiatives are delivered in a consistent and effective way. Alongside this, I have continued to develop skills using Power BI and Excel, seeking to improve efficiency and data accessibility of work I combine strong technical skills with a practical, stakeholder-focused approach, ensuring that complex data is translated into clear, actionable insight. I’m particularly interested in work that covers strategy, investment, and analytics, where data and structured governance can be used to drive effective decision making and long-term value.
- Ensuring the delivery of the annual business plan is achieved through building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders via regular communication, scheduling and coordinating workshops, and gathering, tracking and reporting business plan activity data via Excel and Power BI. - Providing robust governance support for business cases seeking investment, including the development of accurate case records in line with administrative frameworks, supporting financial monitoring and benefits management, and producing investment packs using PowerPoint. - Ensuring the delivery of the rail safety plan is achieved through clear communication with key stakeholders and providing timely reporting of safety plan activities to the board on a periodic basis, whilst also leading on the development and implementation of a new method of reporting via Lists. - Aiding in the development of the corporate strategy, through identifying controls via SWOT analysis, supporting the scheduling of milestones, and creating update packs. - Supporting the creation of new Power BI dashboards for reporting across different workstreams, and the implementation of apps in Power Automate to aid in their delivery.
- Developing expertise in various private market asset classes and fund structures, to support the execution of multiple general partner reports and profiling tasks. - Managing and maintaining a database of over 200 global general partner profiles, timely and accurate updates to meet both external stakeholder requirements and internal reporting needs. - Building and strengthening relationships with general partner investment professionals through regular and strategic communication, enhancing engagement and the potential for long-term partnership. - Using Excel, Tableau, and Power BI to help automate workflows and ensure processes are efficient, organised, and allow for multiple tasks to be completed concurrently.
- Building a data analysis research project focused on the individual performance profiling of players of the FAW Girls' Academy. - Creating and utilising team and individual code windows to analyse player performance for profiling, using the Football Association of Wales’s performance analysis software, Nodiant Coder. - Managing the training and development of five analyst interns as the project expands to cover multiple teams. - Creating complex databases and reports to illustrate the technical attributes of players using Looker Studio.
- Analysing the performance of opposition players and teams for the Wales women's national team using Hudl Sportscode. - Creating reports on the opposition's set piece and penalty trends, to identify likely scenarios. - Filming multiple practical and theoretical sessions for the organisation, including at the 2023 FAW National Coaches Conference and UEFA Pro Licence sessions. - Creating visual presentations to aid coach education staff in the development of content for UEFA C, UEFA B, and UEFA A licence courses respectively.
- Building a recruitment analysis project focused on the future recruitment of players for Cardiff Met WFC by extracting data from Wyscout, and creating multiple databases on Microsoft Excel including target players and benchmarks that matched the technical attributes set by the head coach. - Aiding technical demonstrators and lecturing staff with the provision of multiple performance, data, and video analysis software, including SPSS, Tableau, Hudl Sportscode, Angles, RT Tactic, Keynote and iMovie. - Mentoring and building relationships with over 120 students to aid in the planning and delivery of their performance and data analysis work to relevant stakeholders across multiple sports, by assisting in the development of their workflows, and aiding them when providing feedback to coaches.
- Live-coding games of the Newport U18 team for the 2022/23 season using Dartfish software. - Setting up and initialising camera systems (including Veo) to record the home games of Newport U18s. - Conducting post-match analysis of every Newport U18 game using In-Play Sports, working closely with coaches and players to distribute the analysis whilst being under strict deadlines. - Creating bespoke clip playlists for individual players following every match to aid in the development of their technique and ability, alongside end-of-season player compilation videos. - Mentoring a new performance analysis intern at the club, including advising them of the ongoing workflow processes, and club expectations and requirements.
