Responsibilities: -Within designated authority, reviews submissions to evaluate, classify and rate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage and pricing. -Identify, develop and maintain agency relationships in order to ensure corporate growth, retention, and profitability goals are met. -Provide agency training and assist agencies with the tools needed to build their books of business in order to increase premium volume and profitability. -Attend industry events such as trade shows to prospect new agents for potential appointment, gather competitive intelligence, and stay current on laws and regulations that may affect the program.
Revised heavy equipment estimates to minimize leakage. Conducted valuation reports to negotiate total loss settlements of tractors, trailers, and farm equipment. Outcomes: Reduced overall expenses related to cargo clean up, hazardous material spills, and salvage towing and storage. Handled heavy equipment salvage to reduce deficits through the disposal process. Implemented the Transportation Unit in our home office. Attended heavy equipment trade shows to update industry knowledge. Managed vendor-company relationships by assessing vendor work quality.
1st and Third Party / Total Loss Claims Adjuster, 9/07 to 1/11 Processed hundreds of first and third-party auto insurance claims. Transferred to total loss unit where total loss claims for 9 branches were processed by two adjusters. Outcomes: Obtained basic knowledge of claims processing and developed a strong understanding of insurance policies. With total loss unit, facilitated physical damage settlements for clients while allowing adjusters to become more efficient with their time management and focus on the bodily injury portion of claims.
