Experienced Inventory Management, Material Controlling and coding with a demonstrated history of working in the building materials (Cement & Steel) industry. Skilled in AutoCAD, Negotiation, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Teamwork. Strong professional with a Bachelor's degree focused in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician from Minia University.
1. Control/modify the current material coding structure for assigned items and eliminate any duplication. 2. Identify, standardize common mechanical items between different plants and unify the code for them. 3. Classification of mechanical spare parts (critical-changeable-consumable-strategic…. etc.) with cooperation of concerned department 4. Review and modify the mechanical spare parts description and complete all technical data needed with cooperation of concerned department. 5. Identify MRP parameters/item, (max. stock, reorder level, min. stock, safety stock) according to actual consumption rates and delivery time. 6. Control and issue collective PRs for assigned items on parodic basis or according to MRP parameters across all plants and make sure that requested items are within the budget value, and control the business cycle. 7. Follow up the Consumption rate/item and highlight any excessive or abnormal consumption rates. 8. Prepare reports for assigned activity on weekly basis. 9. Act as a mediator between supply chain, warehouse, finance, and operation departments.
As a part of the preventive maintenance team, my main role is to ensure the availability of the proper material and spare parts at the right time for the best cost. With the help of ERP software to organize the flow of information between the departments involving the cycle of material management. Planning is performed by the daily follow up of materials quantities and cover the required depending on the consumption rates, or based on the job orders executed by the inspectors using CMMS as per equipment status. Workshop fabrications is another fast solution to prepare quite a number of spare parts necessary for the continuous operation. Consequently, I took advantage of the available machining and forming equipment to extend the participation of workshop products in material supply and cost reduction and for this reason I had to learn and start using AutoCAD as an effective way to communicate the dimensions taken from the site of different parts to the workshop team for execution on an acceptable level of efficiency. This role involved managing a team of 5 technicians and helpers by assigning tasks based on skills and specialties, as well as preparing development plans by internal and external training. My task in procurement involved preparing requests for quotations (RFQ) and preparing engineering drawings if required for the spare parts intended to be procured and search for the approved suppliers for each specific type of part and negotiate to get the best quality by lowest prices from suppliers who can deliver the orders on time and sometimes on tight schedules. Finally to perform material compatibility examination when reaches the store. Due to centralization, This role was later limited to placing the purchase requisition based on the need, devise the technical approval to the price quotes received from centralized procurement team and inspect the material once delivered to store for compatibility.
