Aksa Energy, Turkey’s largest publicly listed independent power producer with the total capacity of 2700 MW. Mainly my roles; • I lead the feasibility studies for major CAPEX investments within the Utilities & Technology. Also participate & lead cross functional reviews to define and agree standard process flows ensure all Aksa’s major capital projects. • I prepare and manage Process Design Packages (PDP) for feasibility studies of the Investment Projects. • I lead the selection phase of the Engineering Company and after selection I coordinate them with the equipment suppliers. • I participate actively contractual meetings with suppliers. • I also support business development team and board members in technical and contractual meetings for investment decisions.
As a Lead Process Engineer at Turkmenbashi Refinery Simple Cycle Power Plant Project, my responsibilities; • Performed Basic and Detailed Engineering studies • Developed PFD and P&ID. • Prepared Process Duty Specifications and Process Datasheets for RFQ packages. • Performed hydraulic calculations such as line sizing, pump calculations, heat and mass balance.
Renaissance Heavy Industries is an industrial division of which carries out heavy industry projects in all leading sectors, hydrocarbon, power, metallurgy, and mining. My responsibilities as follows. • To perform FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and Detailed Engineering studies. • Preparing basic process documents such as P&ID, PFD, equipment & instrument technical data sheets and specifications. • To perform process design detail calculations such as hydraulic calculation of the pump and heat and material balance of the package systems and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations. • To prepare the Operation and Commissioning/Start-up-Shut down manual. • Support to the tender department in preparation of equipment list and bill of quantity for new tender projects.
After graduate, I joined ISKEN Sugozu Thermal Power Plant as a shift process engineer. In this role my responsibilities; • Monitoring whole coal firing-thermal power plant (2*660 MW) process turbine generator, boiler, flue gas desulfurization and wastewater management. • Perform of all operations of units such as start-up, shut-down and urgent operations for abnormal situation. • Maintain running of units in highly efficient and safe condition. • Prepare equipment for maintenance work according to Permit to Work Procedure (PTW). • Energy and exergy efficiency analysis of power plant equipment for improving overall efficiency.
