Orhan Ertugrul Guclu is working currently at The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey - Defense Industries Research and Development Institute as Senior Simulation Software Developer - Chief Researcher. He had worked at TUSAŞ Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayi- TAI Turkish Aircraft Industry till June 2020. He has received his B. Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hacettepe University, M.Sc. degree in Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics from Anadolu University with the master thesis about airport gate assignment optimization and Ph.D. degree in Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He has been certified as Student Air Traffic Controller by General Directorate of State Airports Authority in 2016. He has experiences about MBSE, modeling and simulation on operational effectiveness, real life airport operations optimizations such as fast time simulation modeling of airports, aircraft gate assignment, taxi route assignment and data link communication. Decision making tools are also in his concern with his on-going projects.
I support the Distributed Synthetic Training team for the Live, Virtual and Constructive training NATO exercises at the strategic, operational and tactical-levels of war.
