As Research Administrative Manager at Guttmacher I oversee grants and workforce management for our research department and its portfolio of 25+ individual studies and projects. Our team works closely with Finance, Development, and Leadership to manage budgets and spending allocation as well as support all grant and IRB submissions, contracts, staffing, and remuneration needs among many other operational, logistical, and administrative capacities.
As Project Director and Lab Manager, I oversaw all studies from startup through protocol development, data collection, analysis, and dissemination. My role was highly collaborative: I supervised Project Managers in each study and worked in tandem with the Research Scientist and Principal Investigator. In 2021 the AIMS Lab transitioned from RF CUNY and Hunter College to Whitman Walker Health Institute in Washington DC. I joined Dr. Rendina to support the team as we established a new research center for our existing portfolio of Studies. I coordinated all remaining NY-based lab and participant work and oversaw the transfer of all specimens, materials, and equipment to DC. I hired a new team of coordinators and research assistants, trained them, and supported our Research Scientist in establishing our study operations locally with a new team.
At S&D, I worked directly with the President, Executive producers, Directors, Heads of Production, and production teams to support 90+ yearly productions. I hired and trained the office manager and planned, staffed, equipped, and tracked costs for productions. http://supplyanddemand.tv
At ODD, Supply&Demand's sister company I worked with the Executive Producers, President, Director, Head of Production, producers, artists, editors, and clients to manage post-production, graphics, vfx, and animation projects. http://odd-ny.com
As a teacher and tutor at Kaplan, I taught biology, organic chemistry, general chemistry, physics, verbal skills, and testing strategy for MCAT students. I also crafted individualized student study schedules and diagnosed testing and content problem areas.
