Hi! I am Athena, a First Class Honours Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate with strong interests in applied machine learning, artificial intelligence, data, signal processing, embedded systems, and IC design. Through my degree, I have developed technical experience in Python, C/C++, MATLAB, PCB design, circuit design, digital systems, control systems, and hardware-software integration. My academic projects have included smart sensing systems, smart meter development, RFID detector PCB design, integrated circuit design, and a Smart Violin final-year project using sensors and embedded electronics to support performance analysis and feedback. Alongside my studies, I have also worked as a private online tutor, teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics, which strengthened my communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills. I am particularly interested in applying AI, machine learning, data, and engineering to solve real-world problems. I am currently actively looking for graduate roles related to Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AI, machine learning, data, or technology-focused engineering.
Provided one-to-one online tutoring in GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Physics, supporting students with exam preparation, subject understanding, and problem-solving techniques. Adapted explanations to each student’s level, created practice questions, and helped students build confidence in challenging topics such as mechanics, electricity, algebra, and calculus. Developed strong communication, patience, and mentoring skills through explaining technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Represented the University of Southampton as a Student Ambassador, supporting outreach activities and engaging with prospective students and visitors. Explained STEM concepts clearly, answered questions, and helped create a welcoming environment while developing communication, teamwork, and public engagement skills.
