I am a Clifford Chance partner at AS&H Clifford Chance and have a broad range of M&A/corporate experience including joint ventures, public takeovers, equity investments, antitrust, IPOs and secondary offerings. I also head up Clifford Chance's Middle East ECM practice in Dubai. I have previously worked in London, New York and Singapore. I have advised PE firms, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions and corporates on M&A transactions in the healthcare, FIG, consumer goods and retail, oil and gas, industrial, mining and metals, infrastructure and technology sectors. I am the global client relationship partner for the Public Investment Fund in Clifford Chance and am recommended in Saudi Arabia in Chambers Global 2025, IFLR 1000 2025 and Legal 500 2025. I am also techenthusiast and cryptoinvestor and am a member of Clifford Chance’s tech group. I have been advising tech companies such as ARM plc, Vodafone, Cisco Systems and Cognisant since the 1990s.

We are a dynamic team and have worked on a number of innovative and high profile transactions in Saudi Arabia including advising: -Americana Restaurants on its concurrent initial public offering and dual listing of shares on the ADX and the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), the first dual listing in the region. - The Public Investment Fund on its US$69.1 billion disposal of its 70% stake in SABIC to Saudi Aramco -SABIC on the SAR5 billion restructuring of its Ar-Razi joint venture with the Japan Saudi Arabia Methanol Company - The Public Investment Fund on its US$ 3,2 billion secondary offering of a 6% stake in stc -Tenaris on the US$141 million acquisition of a 47.79% stake in Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SSP) -Credit Agricole on the US$1.5 billion sale of a 16.2% stake in Banque Saudi Fransi to Kingdom Holding Company and subsequent disposal of a 10% stake to Ripplewood and Olayan - The Public Investment Fund on the SAR 2.83bn acquisition of a 25% stake in Emaar, The Economic City (EEC), the Saudi Arabian real estate developer -Savola Group on the sale of a 2% stake in Almarai Company through an ABB block trade on the Saudi Stock Exchange, the first-of-its-kind in the Saudi market - Baker Hughes on the 49% investment by Dussur in Baker Petrolite Saudi Company - GE Power on the its SAR1 billion JV with Dussur to manufacture heavy duty gas turbines in Saudi Arabia - Al-Ajlan, Al-Rajhi, NADEC and Olam International on the SAR 2.13bn acquisition of the second milling company as part of the milling companies’ privatisation by SAGO and the National Centre for Privatisation & PPP (NCP)

I am seconded from Clifford Chance LLP, Dubai (where I am a partner in the corporate practice) to its associate firm Al-Jadaan Law Firm in Riyadh, KSA as a senior legal counsel and specialise in M&A, corporate finance and capital markets work.
English qualified lawyer specialising in equity and debt capital markets work, islamic finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory and financial regulation. Was based in Dubai for two years (including three months on secondment in the legal department of RBS Dubai) and was previously based in London where I worked for investment banks and issuers primarily specialising in emerging markets transactions involving jurisdictions in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. I also spent one year working in New York during that period and approximately nine months working in the M&A legal department of Morgan Stanley in Canary Wharf, London on secondment.
