Lead engineer defining electrified propulsion systems for early development phase vehicle programmes. Strong focus on top down vehicle engineering, coordinating technical response to customer level vehicle attribute requirements.
Research project engineer for the low carbon vehicles advanced demonstration team. Developed vehicle requirements documents for creating & cascading targets related to all attributes & systems of the vehicle Organised cross-functional ideas generation workshops championed by the research director to investigate opportunities by which we could offer products to service rapidly evolving customer needs.
Advanced Hybrid Research Responsible for the project plan for a PHEV demonstrator vehicle Developed a physics based vehicle model which is used as a performance and efficiency prediction tool Placements across business functions: Product Planning, PR, Manufacturing, Launch
Learning Outcomes: Responsible for developing a system to measure force variations in synthetic soft tissue samples to be later used in a knee arthroscopy application. This involved designing experimental methods and some computational work using Matlab to interact with hardware to analyse the results. Gained a good experience of the higher level laboratory working environment, working to international test standards and also using specialised equipment e.g. ATI multi-axis force sensor, Instron tensile testing.
