Working as an English Language Instructor teaching general and specific English language skills to beginner, intermediate and advanced level Preparatory Year Programme (PYP) students. Main duties included: • Responsibility for the planning and teaching of English language for both academic and specific purposes. • The marking, recording, monitoring, and tracking of all pupils’ progress to enable further development and implementation of appropriate intervention methods. • Organisation of homework and revision classes to assist with exam preparation. • Attendance of regular Personal Development workshops for educators at the university. • Assisting in the writing and design of exams and other assessments.
Taught and assessed diverse classes in preparation for City & Guilds examinations in the four language skills. Main responsibilities on behalf of the college involved: • Preparing and adapting learning materials for classroom teaching dependant on student and class needs. • Producing and assessing relevant assessments. • Participating in the college’s staff development programme.
Throughout the CELTA course, taught intermediate and elementary multilingual classes. Main course tasks and duties covered: · Developing and tailoring extensive lesson plans in accordance with student needs and college philosophy. Under supervision alongside other trainees, was given the opportunity to develop and improve as a teacher through constant observation and feedback
