Responsible for developing test plans and strategies to test wireless communication systems in the Corporate R&D Group at Qualcomm Inc. - In charge of developing, maintaining, updating and testing LabVIEW based signal collection setup; collection of data in lab and in the field for testing different signal processing MATLAB algorithms and creating MATLAB scripts for post-processing and report generation - Job duties also comprise working with mixed analog and RF hardware components, integrating multiple instruments such as signal generators, programmable attenuators etc. with the LabVIEW platform using different interfaces for automation, imparting training in LabVIEW and conducting research studies pertaining to current market trends in different technologies. - Also worked on the testing and development of an OFDMA based mobile broadband wireless access system (physical layer similar to LTE) from February - April 2008 - Tasks for this position included executing field test plans on different drive routes to test different aspects of the system such as Acquisition, Hand off, Scheduling assignments across different users etc. and analyzing the data logs to check for anomalies and to provide improvements on the existing algorithms - Responsibilities consisted of upgrading the network with different software and firmware releases, running sanity checks to test performance, report issues and help software team with troubleshooting, extensive testing of software scripts and diagnostic monitors, and develop additional test automation scripts to make the process of logging data and post processing them fast and efficient - Responsible for planning and executing various test startegies to test the performance of mobile networks under practical scenarios - Participated in external trainings and conferences to enhance LabVIEW knowledge and also undertook WCDMA Physical Layer and Radio Interface Protocols training classes at the Qualcomm CDMA University
I have been working with the System Integration and Test Team at the Corporate R&D department in testing Physical and Lower- MAC layer protocols of an OFDMA based wireless broadband system. I have developed automation scripts which are being extensively used for the testing by post-processing the data logged in by the system.
