Discharging functions of the Office of Airworthiness: - Verify compliance with the applicable airworthiness and environmental protection requirements (structures and cabin safety aspects) - Liaise with Design Engineers in support of certification matters - Liaise with customers and suppliers in support of the projects - Develop tools for Design Engineers - Compile Advisory Notices to Design Engineers - Develop certification plans for STCs
For cabin modification projects (LOPA modification, installation of galleys and lavatories, emergency equipment change, external liveries, on Boeing and Airbus A/C): - Prepare quotations - Compile and check design documentation including accomplishment instructions and instructions for continued airworthiness - Compile and check compliance reports, test plans and test reports - Project management of design changes
Technical Responsibilities for Aircraft Cabins & Structures: - Support the establishment of quotations and perform preliminary Engineering (Mechanical and System integration) to define scope of work. - Support the development of certification plans. - Prepare and check Engineering bulletins, mechanical drawings (using 2D/3D software) and BOM for repairs and modifications. - Prepare and check substantiation reports, Engineering statements, test plans and test reports (mechanical and cabin safety aspects). - Support production department during installation work. Ensure close follow-up of the production progress and liaise all questions/issues with the rest of the engineering and certification team. - Liaise with OEM for Structure repairs related topics. - Participate in technical issues resolution. Project Management: - Coordinate engineering activities related to main job duties and project deadlines. - Create and maintain project plans and schedules and monitor project status and related metrics. Continuous improvement: - Elaborate and maintain Engineering document templates and Engineering standard database to improve efficiency when developing repairs and design changes. - Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions implementation based on lessons learned.
Customer program management of repair projects for engine nacelles. - Ensure clear communication link from customer to all involved departments. - Convey technical and quality-related issues arising during shop visit to the customer and lead timely resolution. - Creation of repair quotations for single components and complex units. - Support the shop in delivering best quality within minimum TAT. - Support the financial team to define, manage and monitor customer account value flows. - Operational management and controlling of the execution of long-term contracts and single events. - Development of pricing structure for new products. - Actively participating in product development and innovative solutions for improved services.
Base and Shop maintenance - Design, substantiation and certification of permanent metallic and composites repairs on nacelles (PW4000, CFM56 and RR Trent engines). - Creation of Design Deviation Orders for temporary repairs. - Support to Part 145 teams. - Condition assessment of components. - Liaison with OEMs. Fleet technical management - Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives assessment and implementation. - Creation of additional maintenance tasks.
