Leading a global team of 70 water experts working on water resources management, climate change impacts, flood and drought, Decision Support Systems and issues related to surface and groundwater related problems. The geographical focus areas are Eastern Europe, Africa, India and SE Asia working for Ministries and environmental entities solving water related issues. Extensive leadership experience from the current VP role but also from previous roles as head of department and Team Leader as well as in depth understanding of procurement and contracting processes from being responsible for multi mio. USD project portfolio at DHI. More than 20 years of experience with water resources and disaster risk management in Europe, Africa, India and SE Asia. Extensive experience with river basin organisations and Ministries in Africa, India and SE Asia due to being responsible for the International Development segment at DHI. In-depth experience with national and international project management from small to large and multi-disciplinary projects in both developing and developed countries.
VP for the global International Development business unit at DHI consisting of 55 persons located across the globe. The business unit is responsible for all donor and development activities within water resources, urban and marine sectors and our clients consists of development banks, development agencies, funding organizations, NGOs and public authorities in developing countries. The DHI strategy is to be recognised as a trusted advisor & exceptional service provider for strategic UN divisions, global and regional development organisations (e.g. World Bank, ADB, IADB etc), and large NGOs/Climate Fund execution agencies. We will be a leading development consultant supporting sustainable development though integrated and sustainable water resources management, state-of-the-art Decision Support Tools , impact assessment, urban and rural resilience, sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy, nature-based-solutions for risk reduction, and capacity building/risk literacy for operational management and long-term planning.
Head of Department for water resources at DHI. The department consist of 35 experts within water resources covering fields as numerical modelling (hydrology, hydraulic and groundwater), early warning systems, flood mapping, basin planning, water quality etc. We are mainly working on donor funded projects (WB, ADB, GCF and UNEP) in Africa and Asia and have considerable experience in winning and implementing large multidisciplinary projects related to water resources planning and early warning with our team of modelling and IT experts.
Head of Projects for Water resources at DHI-Denmark (2016 to 2019). Responsible for all water resources projects from tendering, contract negotiation to project implementation. The project portfolio includes large donor financed projects (World Bank. UN Environment and ADB), government projects and privately funded projects in many countries.
