I’m dedicated and hard working scientist with a passion for chemistry and problem solving with eight years experience in the pharma industry. I hold a PhD degree in organic chemistry and I have to this date 23 scientific publications in the fields of medicinal chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Specialties: NMR spectroscopy, Carbohydrate chemistry, Pharmaceutical development & CMC, Medical Device Development, Project management, Cross-functional work and Matlab. A senior scientist role focusing on the development of vaccine adjuvant, in particular questions relating to raw materials, CMC, patents and NMR spectroscopy. I also work closely with operations, QA and RA with regards to process development. • Coordinating the overall product development project process. • Project lead for product development and patent activities including issuing R&D plans and reports. • Project lead or SME in cross functional projects covering root cause investigations, CAPAs and process development. • Scientific expert in raw materials (SME) • Scientific expert in NMR spectroscopy (SME)
As the innovation manager for the Medicated Skincare and Eyecare categories I was working with pharmaceutical and medical device classified products within Perrigo CSCI. My main responsibility was to secure the long-term category NPD pipelines which I did in close collaboration with other category functions (e.g. QA, RA, marketing, supply). This was done by both initiating internal developments but also through leading external developments and evaluation of external product concepts, resulting in that I have developed skills within business development, financial evaluations, business strategy and indirect leadership. Daily work included project management, CMC (write technical documentation for pharmaceutical dossiers and medical device technical files), coordinate and lead category activities and the category budget, interact with CMOs and other external partners etc. to deliver new innovative selfcare products!
NMR spectroscopy is a powerful tool to study molecular structure and shape as well as molecular interactions in solution. As an NMR specialist at Medivir I use this tool to drive rational drug design for the development of new cancer immunotherapy drugs. I study both our in-house synthesized inhibitors as well as their targets by isotopically labeling the proteins. NMR methods include 2D/3D correlation spectroscopy, quantitative NOESY/ROESY, DOSY, LOGSY, STD, 19F experiments, homo- and heteronuclear J-coupling analysis, relaxation experiments, qNMR, titrations etc.
Omega-Pharma Nordic, a division of Perrigo, is multinational pharmaceutical company specialized in consumer health products. I was working as a product developer of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, mainly in the form as cutaneous emulsions but also as oral solutions. The work involves CMC, formulation development, being scientific expert, setting up stability studies, writing claim support and taking part in performing clinical studies. A major part of the work was focused on updating six pharmaceutical dossiers (CTD) to send in as variations to the Swedish Medicinal Agency. I have also been updating the technical file, including writing clinical evaluations, for two medical devices. These assignments have been very stimulating as they have giving me good knowledge in how the technical files of pharmaceuticals and medical devices are constructed. I have also been working with new product development and I was the global innovation responsible for our products for psoriasis. Another important responsibility that I had was being the project manager of a pharmaceutical manufacture transfer. This work involves leading and facilitating collaboration between the manufacturers and the different functions at Omega-Pharma (i.e. innovation, regulatory affairs, quality and supply). I have also performed audit of raw material manufacturers.
I was working in Professor Göran Widmalm’s group with research in organic chemistry focused on carbohydrates. The studies were carried out mainly with NMR spectroscopy but they did also include organic synthesis and computational approaches. My work in the Widmalm group has resulted in eight peer-reviewed publications to this end. My duties as a PhD student did also involve the teaching and supervising of master students.
