The Artificial Grass division covers the EU and US activities of the Group (3 Factories, 170 employees, 100M€ in sales) • Integration Of Act Global in US and Turnaround project in EU • Assignment was to quickly multiply the size of the division through a large M&A program. Project put recently on hold due to economic situation and Group priorities change
Beauflor is the Vinyl flooring division of BIG, a Group specialized in Flooring products among others. The division covers Europe (excl. Russia) and emerging markets (2 Factories, 420 employees, 170M€ in sales) • OPEX and COMEX program implementation; Sustainability roadmap, Innovation roadmap; M&A search. • Contract market development (the division is mostly present in the residential segment)
Responsible for Sales excellence & Digital Transformation
Responsible, for Etex Group, of the newly acquired Cy of plasterboard and metal frame (ex Lafarge) (4 Companies, 2 plants, 340 employees, 42M€ in sales ) • Transform the business model, by franchising 13 of 15 branches and rerouting customers to the remaining distribution centres (Factory, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town) and/or to affiliated distributors (for > 900 small and medium contractors). Sign the first LT distribution agreements with various distributors. • Overall Rightsizing of the business achieved in 2017-18; Reduction of Headcount from 340 to 210 FTE • 10-25% growth of sales volumes and market share at the same time. Launch of various new products. • Launch of a cost leadership program, bringing 3M€ savings in purchase and 1M€ in production costs
Responsible for all Etex Group activities in Asia (9 Cies, 6 plants, 1.300 employees, 109M€ in sales) • Assembled the activities of 3 divisions of the Group in Asia and create a unique regional management and strategy. • Supervised the existing activities from India to Australia (Fibre cement boards, Cladding boards and Fire protection solutions), achieving 8% avg. annual growth of sales and maintaining REBITDA at 19-20% for 6 years, predominantly from organic growth. • Looked for accelerated growth with external growth (including Green field, Brown field, Joint Venture and acquisition), finally realizing a Green Field near Jakarta. • Built a regional Head Quarter in Kuala Lumpur with all necessary shared services in order to sustain accelerated future growth • Interim Managing Director for China (Guangzhou) for 6 months and Indonesia (Surabaya) for 9 months.
Responsible for major internal and external growth initiatives for the International Building Materials Division of the Etex Group (Latin America, Asia and Africa) • In charge of the Nigerian Etex subsidiaries supervision (120 M€ in sales): reorganize the Cies to bring them back from 14% to 21% EBIT on sales in 18 months. • Supervision of the Colombian JV (Etex/Lafarge) start-up in Plasterboard • Pilot project of the new Plasterboard JV in Peru • Coordination of the Lafarge/Etex JV for LATAM Launched a fibre cement & Plasterboard sales unit in Central America & the Caribbean
