Worked as an English language assistant in a bilingual high school in Madrid. My work includes lesson planning, coordinating games and activities to facilitate English language learning, and preparing the students in the global classrooms department. Global classrooms is an international project where students get to participate in a Mock United Nations assembly with other students from around Spain. Taught in English, the students have the opportunity to represent another country and debate a global topic in their second language, promoting a deeper understanding of the world around them, building confidence in public speaking, and giving them an opportunity to practice their English skills in an unfamiliar environment. As a language assistant, I have helped teach the students the process of MUN including how to write opening speeches, write resolution papers, the and the structure of the debate.
Worked with kids ages 6-13 on their English skills outside of the traditional classroom setting. Emphasis on exam preparation, conversation, grammar, and vocabulary.
Worked as a server at Big Bad Breakfast. Heavy emphasis on customer service and product sales.
Worked as a staff accounting professional. My focus was on individual and corporate income tax returns and maintaining monthly books for businesses and individuals.
