I am an experienced project manager and lead the marketing strategy for our Young Adult publishing, whilst also coordinating Simon & Schuster's visibility at major events such as YALC. As Marketing & PR Manager of a busy and bestselling children's list, I work on everything from picture books through to teen/YA. I am also the social media lead for all Simon & Schuster Children's UK accounts including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Highlights: I ran a year-round Marketing & PR campaign for the bestselling TikTok sensation THEY BOTH DIE AT THE END by Adam Silvera. As a result, this book has sold 100,000+ copies in 2021 and has been no.1 in the YA charts for several consecutive months. I have worked on both the marketing & PR for two Waterstones Book of the Month campaigns: A Pinch of Magic (2019) The Vanishing Trick (2020) I launched an exclusive partnership with ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos during lockdown to bring S&S picture books to readers at home through live readings filmed at the zoo's and read by the zookeepers, with wide social media presence. I have launched several successful and bestselling picture books at S&S including I'M STICKING WITH YOU by Smriti Halls and Steve Small (shortlisted for The British Book Awards) and THE LITTLEST YAK by Lu Fraser and Kate Hindley (shortlisted for The Sainsbury's Children's Book Award and winner of Oscar's Book Prize) I have organised and managed several US author tours around the UK with New York Times bestselling authors including Cassandra Clare, Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli. *Shortlisted for Best YA Campaign of 2017 at the Annual PPC Awards* As Press Officer, I ran high profile PR campaigns with varying budgets across a range of titles from picture books to YA. I was the main source of contact and the in-house organiser for all literary festivals attended by Scholastic authors. Working with the festival directors and Scholastic PR department. I oversaw the arranging of accommodation and travel and attended festivals for author support. I oversaw all award submissions, selecting the appropriate nominees for each award, keeping an up to date record of submissions; nominated, shortlisted and longlisted books. I worked closely with journalists and bloggers, building relationships and pitching appropriate content. I also organised the annual Scholastic Bloggers' Brunch - a showcase of upcoming highlight titles, popularly attended by high profile bloggers. As well as this blogger event, I was in charge of the Scholastic involvement and presence at events including popular conventions such as YALC, FCBG, SLA and YLG conferences. This included coming up with exciting promotional activities, supporting authors and liaising with bloggers and librarians.
