I’m a first-year student at the University of Maryland, majoring in Global Health and French, with a strong interest in health policy interventions, and qualitative data, as well as a passion for making a meaningful impact in community health. I currently work as the social media manager for the Global Health Initiative on campus at UMD. Here, I engage with a variety of global health topics, and spotlight the amazing work of our students and faculty members on our Instagram with the use of Canva. Last year, I had the opportunity to work as a research assistant with Dr. Borzekowski in Behavioral & Community Health, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in data analysis and project coordination in public health research. My volunteer work with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has deepened my commitment to improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities, while my current role at Kendra Scott, a company known for its philanthropic efforts, has reinforced my belief in the power of empathy and placing people over promotion! I’m eager to continue learning in public health and explore how qualitative data can create improvements in health outcomes and behaviors around the world!
