Dynamic University of Richmond alumna with experience in communications and marketing. Passionate about innovation, positively conveying brands through creative communications, and working with people.
Spent the Summer writing beauty, travel, and lifestyle articles for digital magazine, Clothes & Water. My main task was to conceptualize and pitch article ideas based on the theme of each issue, and then make these ideas come to life. This role required creativity and the ability to anticipate the types of content that would best resonate with our target audience.
I had an invaluable experience as a Global Communications Intern at The Estée Lauder Companies where I gained transferable skills through my work on several projects. First, I collaborated with the company's Breast Cancer Campaign team to create a digital toolkit for the October 2019 Campaign. This document served as a guide for the Estée Lauder Companies' various brands when creating and posting content for the Campaign. I redesigned the digital toolkit's template from previous years and adjusted the copy in a way that would best convey the story of the 2019 Campaign, considering the best marketing and communications strategy. Second, I expanded my design skills, creating a group of digital designs to serve as hero images for new article series on the company's internal app. The goal of this project was to create engaging designs that would encourage mobile users to interact with the articles more frequently. Third, a highlight of the summer was my participation on the winning team at the Estée Lauder "Hackathon". During the "Hackathon", company interns engaged in a day of ideation and strategizing to develop a potential new marketing campaign for one of Estée Lauder's key brand platforms. At the end of the day, we presented our ideas in front of brand leaders. This event challenged me to be innovative and exercise my understanding of marketing strategy to create an effective and creative campaign idea.
As a Content Marketing & Public Relations intern at Dippy, I wrote a series of blog posts which measured the effectiveness of content marketing tactics used by companies in the food industry. I also supported in the development of a content marketing strategy for the start-up and worked to gain more publicity for the brand, presenting its mission and objectives in a positive light.
As an Office Assistant, I communicated with pool members to resolve membership or facility issues, answered patron phone calls in order to provide them with any necessary information, and created posters/spread awareness for upcoming pool events. I was also responsible for tracking daily profits from guest fees and merchandise purchases.
