I underwent several days of work experience at CAM architects, the firm specialises in supporting local projects to help the community. I found it really beneficial talking to all the employees, they showed me the projects they were working on and introduced me to the constraints that arise in the planning process and how they work with the clients to provide the best service for them.
During my work experience I gained valuable insight into the industry. I took a beginners Revit course, visited a major commercial construction site and spent time talking to employees about their journey to employment and the education they achieved. I also spoke to some about the projects that they were working on.
