Switzerland
Healthcare executive, nursing leader, and researcher with extensive international experience across university hospitals, academic health systems, and healthcare transformation. I currently serve as Deputy Chief Nursing Officer & Head of Practice Development and Research at the University Hospital Basel (USB), one of Switzerland’s leading university medical centers and internationally recognized academic hospitals. In this role, I lead strategic initiatives focused on nursing excellence, workforce transformation, evidence-based practice, research integration, and quality of care across a highly complex and interdisciplinary healthcare environment. Working closely with executive leadership, clinical directors, academic partners, and interprofessional teams, I contribute to the development of innovative models of care that strengthen professional nursing practice, improve patient outcomes, and support sustainable healthcare delivery within a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. Alongside my executive leadership role, I maintain strong academic and research engagement with a focus on frailty, transitional care, advanced nursing practice, implementation science, and healthcare workforce development. I have led and contributed to large publicly funded research initiatives and published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals. My professional background spans Europe and North America across executive nursing leadership, advanced clinical practice, research, and higher education. I am passionate about advancing the strategic role of nursing within healthcare systems, developing future healthcare leaders, and translating evidence into measurable improvements in patient care and organizational performance. I welcome exchange and collaboration around nursing leadership, healthcare innovation, workforce strategy, practice development, advanced nursing practice, and evidence-based healthcare transformation.
