Growing up as a young Māori boy in a single-parent household, I was surrounded by many of the challenges I now strive to see improve through my work, whether that's mental health difficulties, domestic violence, substance abuse, or intergenerational trauma. These experiences are why I am passionate about advocating for young people, mental health, and a fairer world that not only provides support when people need it most, but also pushes for active prevention. I've been fortunate to build experience across facilitation, mentorship, education, community engagement, and research. This work has centred on building genuine connections, holding space for meaningful conversations, and ultimately wanting to see people grow into the best versions of themselves. In my studies, I am drawn to indigenous and culturally grounded approaches to wellbeing, the emerging science of psychedelic-assisted therapy, and the intergenerational patterns of trauma that show up in domestic violence and substance abuse. Ultimately, what I care about is seeing these interests become real support systems that work for those most disenfranchised by existing ones. Outside of work and study, I love all things basketball, music of almost every genre, and good food shared with good people. I am always looking to connect with people and organisations working at the intersection of mental health, education, behaviour change, culture, or research, and ultimately those who are equally committed to pushing for structural change, not just individual outcomes.
Educating students about homelessness, social inequality, and lived experience perspectives through interactive workshops. My role involves facilitating discussions, supporting guest speakers with lived experience, and guiding students to challenge misconceptions about homelessness. As part of this, I’m passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and sparking social change through education.
ThryveLab is an early-stage digital services startup supporting therapists, psychologists, and mental health educators in building structured, branded, and ethical online platforms. We partner with clinicians to help them move beyond 1:1 delivery — creating secure client hubs, online course spaces, and private communities using a fully white-labelled GoHighLevel system. Our goal is to reduce tech overwhelm and allow professionals to scale their impact with integrity and care. As the Founder, I lead every project from concept to launch — combining digital strategy, automation, and project management to ensure each build reflects the practitioner’s voice, values, and client needs. I also oversee a small team of specialists in content design, automation, media production, and marketing. We’ve recently supported the launch of WanderKind — a digital platform for holistic healing practitioner Gabi — by migrating her course materials and building a full client-facing platform with custom scheduling, payments, and onboarding automation. ThryveLab is still growing but we're grounded in a vision of helping mental health professionals expand their reach without compromising their ethics, boundaries, or therapeutic presence.
Providing pastoral care, mentorship, and academic support to young students transitioning into boarding life. I supervise study sessions, facilitate targeted study skills workshops, and foster a positive and structured living environment. My role involves working closely with staff to support student wellbeing, behavioural expectations, and daily routines. Passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive space where students can thrive academically and personally.
As a junior Basketball Coach at Melbourne Grammar School, my focus is on creating a fun and supportive environment where students can enjoy the game and improve their skills. I plan engaging practices that emphasize teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship. By encouraging a positive and relaxed atmosphere, I help students build confidence and develop a love for basketball. My role is all about fostering enjoyment and personal growth, making sure every player feels valued and motivated both on and off the court.
Interned across research, program development, and youth advisory operations at LifeChanger Foundation, which is an Australian non-profit delivering preventative mental health and wellbeing programs in schools across Australia and New Zealand. This complemented my role as Chair of the inaugural Youth Advisory Council (YAC), bridging co-design with organisational strategy and program development. In this role I conducted a comprehensive literature review on the current state of adolescent mental health in Australia and New Zealand, synthesising peer-reviewed evidence into lay-term recommendations to inform facilitator training and LifeChanger's Theory of Change. Other tasks included grant identification and evaluation, corporate partnership proposal review, cultural consultation on LifeChanger's te ao Māori organisational materials, and the development of new co-design processes to strengthen the YAC's engagement and impact.
As an Educator at TeamKids, I play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children in our before and after school care programs. I design and implement diverse activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development. By collaborating with colleagues and communicating with parents, I ensure each child's unique needs are met. My commitment to creating a positive and nurturing atmosphere helps children thrive both academically and personally.
