I am currently finishing my studies at Leopold Franzens University of Innsbruck in the field of Material and Nano Science. Next to the many things I learned in my studies I could gather a lot of theoretical knowledge about CIGS thin film solar cells and practical skills in data gathering using different measuring devices in my employment as scientific project staff member at material technology at University of Innsbruck and in my internship at Photovoltaic Competence Center of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.
Data Colllection with X-Ray fluorescence analysis, focus variation microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and EDX measurements in the field of CIGS thin film solar cells and other thin films. Next to smaller series of measurements i had to run some standard processes. To help with repetitive measurements I designed devices and wrote python scripts to help taking measurements and analysing them.
In the internship i could watch and learn about all the different steps of making an CIGS thin film solar cell and the post deposition treatment afterwards. For my masters thesis i then characterized solar cells by taking CV and IV-curves, EQE and GDOES data and raman spectra.
