I am Ollie Hochstein, I am a sophomore at James Madison University who is studying Sports and recreation Managment as well as General Business. I specialize in leadership, confidence and a passion to help others. I am passionate about helping others and working with people to achieve their goals through sports and basketball. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with the James Madison basketball team as a student manager, as well as work with the Duke basketball team over the summers. In high school I was the captain of my varsity team for two years and with that platform, I started up my own basketball training business, training younger kids in the community. Through my training, I raised money for a local charity called the Tommy strong foundation. These experiences taught me resilience, communication and leadership skills, and showed me my true passion for helping others. I’m always looking to Connect with Other Professionals, Learn New Things, Collaborate on Projects, and find new opportunities to grow. . Let’s connect — I’m always open to new opportunities, conversations, and collaborations! 📫 Feel free to reach out: [email protected] or message me here on LinkedIn.
Working at Duke Basketball Camp was an incredible opportunity to contribute to one of the most special programs in college basketball. I had the chance to coach and mentor young athletes, work behind the scenes days prior to camp, and setting things up. Working in camp registration as well as refereeing games. I also had the pleasure helping young athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and grow as teammates. Throughout the camp, I worked closely with the Duke coaching staff and team and fellow counselors to facilitate drills, games, and make sure everything ran smoothly on a daily basis. Being part of the Duke basketball environment gave me a deeper appreciation for the game and what it takes to work and lead at the highest level.
I started a basketball training business where I worked with young athletes to develop their skills on and off the court. To give back, I donated 25% of all profits to a local charity, The Tommy Strong Foundation, supporting their cause and incredible impact in the community.
