I believe housing is one of the most important social and economic challenges of our time. For the last decade, I have been building ventures, investing in startups and scaling innovation initiatives that help shape the future of urban living. As Head of Venture Building and Startup Investments at Gewobag, I bridge the worlds of corporate strategy, venture capital and entrepreneurship. My focus is identifying emerging technologies, building new digital business models and investing in startups that create strategic value for the real estate sector. With a background in economics (PhD), an MBA (Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis) and six years at McKinsey, I bring together corporate strategy, venture capital and innovation management to drive sustainable growth and transformation. Areas of expertise include PropTech, Smart Cities, AI, Energy, Mobility and Digital Infrastructure. I am also a frequent speaker on digital innovation and PropTech, including at industry associations such as GdW and BBU, leading German housing industry associations.
