I played a key role in the development of this technology, including designing the main patent.

    A few things I built with my team at Colby:  A patented live subtitling system based on respeaking (Nuance SDK), which is being   used since years ago on national broadcasts (RAI and Mediaset)  A content management system for the RAI regional teletext services; running on   FreeBSD, with PostgreSQL, Python, and Tcl on the server side  An Erlang based DVB MHP Object Carousel (DSM–CC) generator with EPG, content   scheduling, and stream playing capabilities  An Erlang based DVB subtitling system, used to generate subtitles for Opera   broadcasts to movie theaters worldwide  An Erlang based teletext system, with both analog and DVB versions  An Erlang based DVB / MPEG2 platform with interfaces to our custom device drivers  FreeBSD device drivers for a few ISA and PCI boards (DekTec, Adrienne Electronics)  Firmware for a custom board based on the 8051 (IAR Systems C compiler)  A teletext editor using the Eclipse RCP platform and the EMF framework  Interactive teletext systems based on Linux, with home banking applications for   Banca Mediolanum, Fibanc, and Banca Reale  Lots of internal infrastructure: firewalls, domain controllers, SMB and NFS file   servers, email systems (Exchange and sendmail), desktop deployments, backup   and restore procedures, VPNs
