25 years of experience in identifying, structuring and negotiating LBO transactions. Investments realized in industrial, services and distribution businesses valued between 100 and 500 M€. Working both in a PE fund (with institutional investors) and for a family office. The work with the family office broadened my experience to deploying an indirect PE investment strategy via third-party funds covering the whole development chain (namely VC and growth), and also allowed me to invest in listed companies to apply PE approach to listed medium-sized companies in Europe. Today, I run Korafin, a consulting company helping families and smaller institutional investors to optimise their portfolio and to broaden their investment scope. Luxempart is a listed but family-owned investment company investing its ca. € 2.3bn net worth in private or listed companies across Europe, but has also an indirect investment activity via third-party Private Equity fund commitments covering geographic (mainly in North America) and strategy diversification (mainly VC and growth). As Managing Director during ca. 4 years, I have helped extending our Direct Investment Team (which has more than doubled in terms of number of talents), established Luxempart's investment activity in France, and have shared the responsibility of managing the business as one of the two Managing Directors. During my term, Luxempart's NAV has increased by ca. 47% from € 1.575m to € 2.232m.
Non-executive Board member in the largest Luxembourgish insurance group (life and non-life), diversified into cross-border life insurance under the freedom to provide services act as well as private wealth management.
