With a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the IPN, I currently lead as BESS Engineering Manager. My experience is focused on the design and integration of BESS, developing technical specifications, single-line diagrams and interconnection studies. I also work closely with EPC teams and stakeholders to ensure that projects comply with international standards such as IEEE, IEC and UL. In my current role, I support the business development and sales teams, providing technical guidance in bidding and project construction. I lead the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) engineering function at SkySense, driving utility-scale projects across Latin America with a combined focus on technical leadership, team management, and business development. With over 5 years of hands-on BESS experience, I oversee system sizing, design, and integration of storage solutions — including rack and container-based batteries, PCS, EMS, and protection systems. I manage grid interconnection studies, ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, and UL standards, and supervise FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities to meet technical and performance benchmarks. On the commercial side, I provide strategic technical support to the sales and BD teams during project bidding and client negotiations, while reviewing contracts, warranties, and supplier technical specifications.
Lead the comprehensive management of Utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across multiple countries in Latin America, ensuring technical excellence and commercial success. • End-to-End Project Management: Direct Utility-scale BESS projects from conception through completion, with full accountability for schedule, budget, risk management, and compliance with technical specifications and local regulations in different LATAM markets. • Commercial Development: Develop, review, and present technical and commercial proposals for utility-scale BESS projects, tailored to client requirements, regulatory frameworks, and strategic objectives in diverse regional contexts. • Technical Oversight: Review and validate multidisciplinary engineering documentation (electrical, civil, control, and grid interconnection) to ensure design quality, safety, bankability, and system optimization. • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for international clients and stakeholders, managing expectations, reporting project progress, and building long-term strategic partnerships across the region. • Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional engineering teams distributed across Latin America, fostering collaboration, technical alignment, and operational efficiency.

Preparation of Scope of Work documents with technical attachments (SLDs, layouts, control architecture) for BESS. Size, spec out and select BESS and BOP Equipment.
