· PROJECT AND INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT · Preparation and application of refinery investment projects according to process and operational necessaries. · Organisation of project activities such as engineering design, procurement of special equipments, management of contractors, construction works, pre-commissioning / commissioning and start up works. · Management of project team organisation. · Deep technical knowledge on API 610, ASME B31.3, P&ID’s, PFD’s, Isometrics and Piping specs.
· SOCAR & TURCAS AEGEAN REFINERY PROJECT (STAR) - EPC · To define and itemize the entire work scope into system packages to enable useful commissioning and start up work. · To lead Quality Control, Construction and Commissioning parties of Contractor and Subcontractor by daily meetings to achieve project goal within assigned time period, and to align project milestones as per priorities. · To follow up site activities by meetings with other departments such as piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation, etc. To give path construction activities in the light of project priorities. · Organizing final walkdowns at site and following up Punch List raised by client to achieve Mechanical Completion on time. · Organizing and execution of mechanical completion. To provide leadership to the handover team. Monitoring handover documentation and verify. Prepare required lists or reports from database. Control System Mark-Up & As-Built Drawing, Related Standards and Procedures. To lead preparation of Mechanical Completion Dossiers. · Maintain project data by using in-house software, including the Construction and Pre-commissioning activities in order to start commissioning phase. · Supporting Commissioning team by controlling facility in order to handover subsystems to client.
· SOCAR & TURCAS AEGEAN REFINERY PROJECT (STAR) - EPC · Coordinating meetings with subcontractors’ QC management team related to; erection and installation activities at site, fabrication inspections at shop, welding/NDE plan for both. · Approving subcontractors’ workshop facilities according to project quality requirements. · Approving subcontractors’ procedures; ITP, PQR, WPS, WQT Certificates, and Method of Statement etc. according to universal standards, internal specifications, and client specifications; if necessary, comment and reclaiming. · Carrying out site and shop inspections accordingly. Final inspection of pipe spools/isometric release before painting. Controlling the Release folder according to the Project’s NDE & PWHT specification. Traceability of materials; Heat number, Item Code and Welder information’s on the pipe. Storage conditions of the project materials. Tightening checks of high strength and non-high strength bolts inspections; inspection of steel structures, etc. · Following up of non-conformities and their closure on site. Attending weekly QC walkthroughs with client. · Reporting weekly inspection table to QC Manager and analyzing the results. If necessary, taking the preventative actions to the subcontractors.
· SOCAR & TURCAS AEGEAN REFINERY PROJECT (STAR) - EPC · Responding by single-handed to steel structure fabrication inspections of various Subcontractors at Bursa and Ankara, totally 6.500 mTon production capacity monthly, as Structure Inspector. · Reviewing subcontractors’ procedures; PQR, WPS, WQT, NDE, Painting, Method of Statement, Identification and Traceability, Weld Consumable Control, Raw Materials Storage and Usage, etc. Ensuring all procedures and inspections to be run during fabrication. · Carrying out Welding Consumables Storage, Handling, Conditioning, Calibration, and Validation of equipment used for: Welding machines, Storage and Holding Ovens / portable, quivers, PWHT recorders, Welding inspection tools. · Carrying out NDE and other material testing processes, controlling NDE percentages. Weld-joint Fit-up and after welding Visual Inspections. During the welding, controlling the welder ID/ welding equipment, consumable, welding parameters check in accordance with approved WPS including preheating, filler material, welding position, interpass temperatures. · Carrying out the coating inspections such as surface preparations, DFT, Pull Off and Cross Cut Tests. Controlling weather conditions and curring during painting. · Carrying out the material receiving inspection for steel structures and auxiliary materials; pipe, fittings and flanges. Verifying storage conditions. Witness to Chemical and Mechanical Tests performed by 3rd party company for project base materials and auxiliary materials. · Preparation of final quality dossiers.
· ANKAPARK SAFARI & THEME PARK PROJECT (Wonderland Eurasia) - EPC · Responding the site activities that are structural erection, piping welding and installation activities and mechanical installation of construction site as Site Engineer. · Reporting to project manager daily, attending to weekly meetings by owner. · Performing PQR, WPS, and WQT for piping welding activities. · Choosing welding techniques and consumables for welding process and implementation to subcontractor during the site conditions. · Following-up spool fabrication & erection status, mechanical installations and reporting. · Organizing NDE activities via 3rd party company according to related requirements. · Organizing the material receiving inspection for mechanical equipment, supplied to subcontractors. · Constituting the erection schedule day to day and enforcement to apply. Implementation schedule and policy changes to site activities. · Interview with suppliers about the equipment of mechanical installation and forcing to match the provision schedule to time table of site like a Procurement Engineer. · Controlling the subcontractors’ activities and manufacture yardage; preparing the progress payment.
· LUSAIL MPH PROJECT, ALSADD MPH PROJECT, LUSAIL MARINA ARCK PROJECT · Coordinating manufacturing activities that fabrication and welding process as Production Engineer. Following-up manufacturing progress material basis starting from pre-production to shipping. · Constituting welding plan; ensuring to keep true welding parameters & consumables according WPS, PQR. Choosing and controlling fit-up & fixing techniques. · Controlling welders, fabricators, foreman, and rating them, and assisting to improve themselves. Following WQT’s expiration. · Organizing plant start-up, time sheets, overtimes and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time and profits. Arranging daily toolbox. · Supervising sub-contractors and ensuring effective communication in order to avoid faults. To implement schedule and policy changes to production activities. · Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. · Working together with other disciplines such-as QC, Planning and Engineering, to ensure all product and system requirements are considered from the initial product conception to the finished result. · Working together with Human Resources to recruit new fabricators, welders, and engineers abroad, by arranging interview and test. (Had business trips to Philippines, Vietnam and India for hiring)
