Served as the Director of Staff and principle adviser for the Deputy Director. Overseas 200+ person Joint team providing strategic guidance and world-wide oversight for all Nuclear, Homeland Defense, & Current Operations issues. Assists the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff in providing military advice to the President through the creation, review, and development of strategic recommendations for current and future military operations. Leads the National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center strategic operations and crisis response team providing immediate assistance for the Chairman, Secretary of Defense, and the President of the United States.
Chief Operating Officer of a 29,000-acre installation, serving 23,000 military/civilian personnel and their families. Responsible for the daily management, profit and loss, strategic planning of 6000+ workforce, $5.4 billion in aircraft, $4 billion in facility infrastructure across 1,259 facilities, an airport and logistics complex, hospital & police/fire force, communications network and information assurance, residential living community, hotels, retail mall, restaurants, and all public utilities. Commander/CEO pro tem for 3 months.
Competitively selected as 1 of 6 senior military officers to represent the United States at the NATO Defense college in Rome, Italy. Built relationships with 220 senior officers, diplomats, and civilians from 32 Allied and partner nations, the Partnership for Peace, Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, the Mediterranean Dialogue and contact countries throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. Extensive field study program enabled participants to visit 21 Nations with access to the most senior levels of military, political and business leaders. Examined strategic opportunities across military, economic, social, and political issues impacting global stability and recommended strategic choices to senior officials. Led the development and presentation of a multinational consensus project utilizing a systems approach to reduce the effectiveness of international drug trafficking on global stability. Successfully defended thesis to panel of NATO senior officers. Earned highly selective rating of "Very Well Suited for NATO Positions" with superb peer leadership and principle-centered argument abilities noted from the German Commandant of the NDC.
Led the Pacific’s 1st F-22 fighter squadron providing Air Dominance on immediate demand for global defense operations. Directed all aspects of organization’s 24 aircraft, $82M annual budget & diverse work force to ensure readiness & maintain 24/7 alert posture. Led squadron as most experienced F-22 Instructor/Evaluator/Mission Commander.
