I am an interdisciplinary conservationist committed to strengthening the relationships and connection between people and nature. I am currently seeking full-time land trust and land conservation opportunities based in New England where I can contribute to land conservation initiatives that are guided by community-based practices, foster place-based stewardship/knowledge, and strengthen connections between people and the landscapes they call home.
- AmeriCorps Member with the Lakes Region Conservation Corps - Assisting with the annual monitoring of 95 private properties in the Chocorua Lake Basin protected by conservation agreements, and the management of 17 conservation properties owned by CLC. - Additionally supporting land management and science and education goals and initiatives.
• Responsible for organizing, managing, and staying on top of the video data from a 50-camera project in the Arizona and a 50-camera project in Costa Rica. • Identified and sorted native Arizona and Costa Rican species using the Sanderson method. • Tasked with organizing metadata from the field, keeping the project on target, grant searching and writing, assisting the Field Manager as needed, and identifying native mammals and ground birds in the video footage from the project.
• Support the lead faculty instructor in evaluating students’ work, assigning grades alongside constructive feedback. • Maintain consistent communication with the faculty instructor and instructional team. • Utilize synchronous Zoom meetings to support students individually and in small groups to develop mastery of the course content. • Moderate discussion boards and assist with course assignments/assessments. • Exhibit timely communication with students and build the bridge between the students and lead faculty. • Promote a positive and supportive learning environment.
Research Project: Evaluating the Impacts of Human-Wildlife Conflict and Conservancy Engagement on Conservancy Satisfaction and Conservation Attitudes in the Maasai Mara.
