    The regional project Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture in West Africa, funded by the West African Development Bank (BOAD), targets transboundary areas that are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. I provided strategic leadership for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) for the multi-country Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) programme implemented across five ECOWAS member states—Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger, and Togo. I ensured full compliance of MEL systems with ECOWAS and BOAD requirements while strengthening results-based management, accountability, and performance monitoring for a complex regional portfolio. A key focus of my role was overseeing the integration and effective implementation of Environmental and Social Principles, including gender equality, biodiversity protection, and community participation, across all programme components. I led the coordination of Annual Work Plans and Budgets for 25 sub-projects and oversaw high-quality reporting in line with ARAA standards, including quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and Past Performance Reports. I ensured the reliability and strategic use of programme data through oversight of the MESECOPS M&E system, enabling evidence-based decision-making at regional and national levels. Through this role, I strengthened institutional capacity for managing large-scale, multi-country programmes and contributed to the advancement of climate-resilient agricultural practices across West Africa.
