As Global MELS Coordinator at IFDC, I lead the strategic direction, performance oversight, and institutional integration of MEL across the organization. This role centers on guiding the MEL Unit and ensuring that planning, implementation, and monitoring processes are coordinated, efficient, and fully aligned with IFDC’s strategic vision. Through structured reporting to senior leadership, I help translate MEL progress into actionable insights that strengthen organizational performance. A major part of my leadership involves fostering strong collaboration between the Global MELS Unit and MEL specialists working across projects and programs. By harmonizing methodologies and ensuring timely data flows, I help cultivate a shared culture of evidence‑based learning throughout IFDC. This alignment enables teams at all levels to make informed, results‑driven decisions. Beyond coordination, I provide technical leadership on MEL standards, evaluation approaches, and learning practices. This includes leading internal evaluations and supporting external assessments to ensure rigor and credibility across all MEL activities. I also drive the transformation of evidence into institutional knowledge by developing policy briefs, articles, and other learning products that elevate strategic thinking within the organization. In addition to these core responsibilities, I contribute to broader corporate MEL priorities, reinforcing MEL as a cornerstone of accountability, effectiveness, and continuous improvement at IFDC. Through the preparation of comprehensive semi‑annual reports, I synthesize organizational learning and performance trends that inform leadership decision‑making and help position IFDC for sustained impact.
The regional project Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture in West Africa, funded by the West African Development Bank (BOAD), targets transboundary areas that are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The project aims to reduce the vulnerability of farmers and pastoralists to increasing climate risks. I provided strategic leadership for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) for the multi-country Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) programme implemented across five ECOWAS member states—Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger, and Togo. I ensured full compliance of MEL systems with ECOWAS and BOAD requirements while strengthening results-based management, accountability, and performance monitoring for a complex regional portfolio. A key focus of my role was overseeing the integration and effective implementation of Environmental and Social Principles, including gender equality, biodiversity protection, and community participation, across all programme components. I led the coordination of Annual Work Plans and Budgets for 25 sub-projects and oversaw high-quality reporting in line with ARAA standards, including quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and Past Performance Reports. I ensured the reliability and strategic use of programme data through oversight of the MESECOPS M&E system, enabling evidence-based decision-making at regional and national levels. Through this role, I strengthened institutional capacity for managing large-scale, multi-country programmes and contributed to the advancement of climate-resilient agricultural practices across West Africa.
I provided strategic leadership for monitoring and evaluation under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact, overseeing comprehensive data collection, aggregation, and reporting processes across multiple projects and implementing entities. Reporting to the Director of Economy, Monitoring and Evaluation, I ensured the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of programmatic and administrative data, enabling evidence-based decision-making and alignment with the Compact’s strategic objectives. By establishing and maintaining robust data management systems, I facilitated seamless tracking of project progress, enhanced transparency, and strengthened accountabilities for all stakeholders. My work ensured that reliable, up-to-date information was consistently available to guide operational decisions, monitor outcomes, and support the evaluation of MCA-Benin II’s impact, contributing to the effective delivery of development results across the programme.
Founded in 2017, ar-mel (action research, monitoring evaluation and learning) is a collaborative platform for innovative and creative Monitoring and Evaluation activities. I worked for strategic partnerships building, systems and policies development to sustain the capacities of ar-mel.

As a member of the Regional Technical and Advisory Team, I advised Country Office managers, MERL officers, and partners on the design, implementation, and adaptation of monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regional priorities. In this role, I led capacity-building initiatives, coordinated evaluations, and enhanced data management systems to support program effectiveness and continuous learning. By fostering a culture of accountability and promoting the use of evidence in decision-making, I contributed to Right To Play’s mission to empower children and youth through play-based education while ensuring that programs across the region were rigorously monitored and evaluated.
