Retired and still available for positions requiring analysis, coaching and optimization; keep learning! I am an optimizer & depolarizer and I do that in my own way: Oeges style. My professional journey began on September 1, 1988, at the Forestry Technology department in Wageningen, my first real employer, with an operational analysis —econometrics, according to the rest of the country!— research. Although a cabinet decision ended my academic career after only four months at the end of 1988, this didn't stop me; I moved on and started learning other things. From early 1989, I worked for a variety of organizations in the Benelux, England, and Indonesia, including Faram, Parenco, Rabobank (June 1, 1990, is formally the first day of my three Rabo employment contracts and also 🙂 the anniversary of my marriage), the Royal Dutch Sailing and Rowing Association, Sogeti, Freeler, KPN, Haskoning / World Water Fund, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Informatie Beheer Groep, Connexxion, Elvia, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Littlewoods / Shop Direct, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, SNS Bank, and finally, Synfoxs Management Support. The diversity was my own choice. Almost always the work felt like a hobby! From July 2013 I used my expertise as a consultant through Synfoxs and—even more than before!—as an (unpaid) volunteer, working for organizations such as AFC Quick 1890, Bewoners033, G1000, Inloophuis De Ontmoeting, Lyceum De Amersfoortse Berg, and the high IQ society Mensa the Netherlands. For the latter, I worked an average of 15 hours per week. Managing, organizing, arranging, connecting people, collaborating, innovating, occasionally taking the piss, relaxing, staying safe and sailing, I love it all. In a board/management/team, I'm normally the unifying force and not the focal point. Playing second fiddle is my preference; switching roles for a while comes naturally, if the situation calls for it. Retired, regularly experiencing post-covid symptoms, but open to assignments. I'm suitable for roles that require analysis, (coaching) leadership, and collaboration. I'm particularly interested in organizations that are open to talking with someone who is neurodivergent, like Volt! Born and raised in Friesland, I graduated from the University of Agriculture with a focus on Operational Analysis. My hobbies include management, sawing trees, hunting, organizing, optimization, lazing around and sailing. Are you looking for an adventurous, conservative out-of-the-box progressive and unconventional yoke? Let me know!!!
