I’m Ochieng Otieno, a Computer Scientist pursuing an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at The Open University of Kenya. I specialize in machine learning, data science, and Explainable AI (XAI), with a focus on building high-performing, transparent intelligent systems. My current research develops an XAI model for aviation safety risk prediction using Random Forest, XGBoost, SHAP, LIME, and related techniques — aimed at enabling proactive safety management in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa. I’m actively seeking remote, on-site, and hybrid opportunities worldwide in Machine Learning Engineering, AI Research, Data Science, or AI Safety roles. Passionate about creating impactful AI solutions, I’m open to connecting with professionals and organizations working in AI and emerging technologies. Let’s connect!
