I'm a versatile, multicultural, and objective-driven professional with international experience and a solid background in IT and Information Security. I specialize in Cybersecurity and have almost two decades of experience working in the finance, hospitality, software development and technology sectors all over Europe and in the US throughout my career. I speak several languages, which allow me to be a public speaker to many cultures and countries, where I excel at building bridges and establishing strong relationships, which has been and always will be the foundation of my career. I have managed security and audit teams in operational and managerial environments as a first-level manager up to having responsibilities at the European and Global levels with extensive teams and budget management. I am also experienced in creating cost-effective client-focused cybersecurity solutions which include elements such as information security by design and long term continuous improvement mindsets. I have implemented various industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements internationally, including SOX, PCI, ISO27001/2 and other industry established control standards. I am an empathic listener who inspires ownership and effective action through positive leadership. My passion resides in establishing relationships by fully understanding the person I am talking to or the people I have around me. I am at my best when that understanding enables me to competently help my peers, juniors, seniors or clients and even my family and friends. I strongly believe that business is fundamentally about people. As Simon Sinek would say, "if you don't understand people, you don't understand business." My intellectual curiosity also drives me to be a lifelong learner and sharing that knowledge by public speaking and coaching has been one of my greatest privileges. Currently I've been interested in the fusion between Data Science and Cybersecurity, as well as the implications of 5G and AI (being it AGI or ASI).
