I am a passionate researcher and Ph.D. scholar in Genetics and Plant Breeding at CIMMYT– Hyderabad, specializing in the genetics of high-zinc maize. My research integrates GWAS, Genomic Prediction and Line × Tester analysis to advance biofortification and accelerate breeding for nutritional security, in close collaboration with HarvestPlus. I did my master's research at RARS, Maruteru, with a focus on identification of elite Rice lines resistant for BLB by Phenotyping and Genotyping using 50 SSR markers along with the studies of genetic parameters, magnitude of variability, correlation and path coefficient for yield enhancement traits. In my undergrad, as a part of an IDP (Institutional Development Plan) funded by NAHEP-World Bank, I had two months Intern exposure to Kansas State University, USA.
I had an opportunity to work with Dr. Juan Burgueño to deepen my understanding of genomic prediction. Additionally, I spent time in the Nutritional Quality Laboratory.
Participated in the Undergraduate Research Experience Program in the area of Plant Breeding and Genetics, KSU
