I worked at the National Lotteries Commission as a Grant Officer for 3 years in the Grant Funding division. My work entailed analysing grant applications for compliance and alignment to the advertised Call for Funding, writing assessments of the grant applications for adjudicator, doing education and awareness sessions in communities teaching people about the organization's grant funding process, sending out communication to unsuccessful applicants and requesting additional information on behalf of the adjudicators from potential beneficiaries, conducting pre and post funding site visits to applicants and beneficiaries and writing reports thereof, analysing submitted progress reports and the compliance thereof, regularly attending to beneficiary and applicant queries telephonically, through email and walk-ins.
I volunteered at the Right2Know Campaign for almost two years as an admin support assisting with writing reports, organizing protests, conducting access to information workshops and doing advocacy work for underprivileged communities.
