I am an experienced communications professional, media-spokesperson coach and journalist. Skilled in strategic communications, media relations and PR, issues management and crisis communication, multi-channel content strategy and social media. Currently, I work as head of communications in the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. I have strong strategic focus, am diligent with pragmatic approach and enjoy achieving objectives. I coach corporate/organization leaders and professionals in executive communication: - Representation before the media - Spokesperson skills - Message analysis and development - Public speaking and presentation skills The overall goal is to improve skills and boost communication self-confidence. My personalized coaching approach includes several hands on practices on camera followed by individual feedback. Client partners are empowered to represent themselves before the media and conduct effective interviews whether the questions are coming from print, broadcast or social media. Israel and the occupied territories (April 2012-May 2013): Spokesperson, responsible for international media relations and public communication. Coordinated public communication and acted as spokesperson during the armed conflict in Gaza in November 2012 and the long term hunger strikes of Palestinian detainees in 2012-2013. Liberia (Jan 2011-Feb 2012): Spokesperson, in charge of public communication and media relations at a time when Liberia received over 100 000 refugees from Ivory Coast following the post election violence in 2010-2011. Responsible for briefings of international humanitarian law to the newly built Liberian army and the UN mission in Liberia (UNMIL). Niger (Nov 2010-Jan 2011): Short mission to familiarize with the protection work of the ICRC: i.e. detention visits in the regional delegation covering Mali and Niger.
