About

Noor is a dedicated physicist with a strong background in Quantum Optics and Quantum Informatics from the University of Pécs. She is currently transitioning into Experimental High Energy Physics as a research trainee at the National Centre for Physics, Pakistan, where she contributes to the CMS Tracker Phase-2 Upgrade at CERN. Noor is deeply involved in assembling and testing semiconductor tracker modules and gaining hands-on experience in developing and ensuring the quality of next-generation silicon modules. Passionate about applying her skills to energy storage and environmental sustainability, she is committed to innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Experience

  • Research Assistant at HUN-REN Wigner Research Centre for Physics
    Sep 2025 - Mar 2026 · 7 mos

Currently working with the CMS Collaboration at CERN, based at the Wigner Research Centre for Physics in Budapest. My work focuses on the analysis and development of the Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) for LHC Run 3, contributing to forward-physics studies and to detector performance in proton–proton collision data. Alongside my analysis work, I am involved in the visual inspection and precision measurement of 2S hybrid modules for the CMS Tracker as part of the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) upgrade. This includes quality assurance and detector preparation for the next generation of high-radiation, high-luminosity running. This work is carried out in the clean-room facility.

  • Research Trainee at National Centre for Physics
